Mania Farm uses a research signal informed by sampled player top plays, accuracy, performance, map structure, and exposure-adjusted adoption. It aims to recognize efficient charts while accounting for evidence quality.
.farm selects the highest-index eligible fresh charts first in the checked implementation. Strong strict matches precede the more permissive fallback. A chart still needs to satisfy the room's hard filters and key mode.
Farm availability depends on staff enablement and validated data. The 4K and 7K research models have different coverage; their raw index values are not interchangeable. The farm index is an experimental ranking signal, not a guaranteed amount of PP for your score.
Variety can use bounded farm-aware weighting while retaining all eligible structural styles. Missing evidence is not an automatic exclusion from Variety. See selection rules and release history.
v6.6.19 is queued, not yet active at this article's September 30 review. Once it deploys, the refreshed native Mania catalogs provide 16,987 potentially selectable 4K maps and 3,654 potentially selectable 7K maps across all supported star ratings and playable lengths (45–600 seconds), after the usual Ranked/Approved, 1,000-pass, and key-mode requirements. That is 20,641 total, up from 20,071 in the current catalogs. Room settings narrow the pool actually available for any particular pick. Structural styles have fresh chart analysis; Variety can also choose eligible charts without a named structural tag.
Farm scores cover more charts, but a score alone does not make a chart eligible for .farm. Recalibrated strict Farm thresholds yield 4,406 qualifying 4K and 1,028 qualifying 7K charts across those same hard filters, 5,434 total, compared with 5,835 previously. The smaller strict pool is intentional: the new model's cutoffs target about one quarter of eligible 45–180-second charts in each key mode. .farm continues to prefer the strongest eligible fresh charts, then uses the existing style fallback when needed. The normal difficulty, length, pass-count, repeat, and key-mode rules still apply. See the pending release note and the live-version notice.
When enabled, .farm prefers the strongest eligible fresh index candidates before weaker-feature fallback. .variety broadens the structural selection.
Farm is not a structural pattern. Confidence, evidence coverage, and key-mode models matter; raw 4K and 7K indices are not interchangeable.
