Both 4K and 7K Mania Variety favor fewer LN- and Noodle-classified charts without removing them from the pool.

An LN- or Noodle-tagged chart gets 0.10× its previous relative pick weight in ordinary Variety. A hybrid chart gets this reduction once. This is a 90% reduction in relative weight, not a guarantee that 10% of rounds contain holds, and not a 90-percentage-point reduction. An all-LN pool remains playable because the multiplier is positive.
The rule applies to eligible native 4K/7K charts and vetted Mania converts in Variety. Existing native/convert scheduling caps still apply independently. Unclassified and tap charts keep their previous weight. Feedback, the high-Farm bonus, preferred-duration buckets and repeat spacing continue to influence actual selections.
Explicit .ln, .noodle, .farm, other style sources and multi-style requests retain their existing weighting and fallback. The Variety reduction does not silently override a requested hold style. Returning with .variety restores the lower LN weight. .pool displays LN weight 10% in Variety: that is weight, not observed round share.
The change affects future picks only. It does not replace queued maps, delete maps or classifications, or loosen key mode, stars, age, length and pass-count eligibility. See Mania styles, style exhaustion and selection filters.
The optional top-level room JSON key mania_ln_pick_multiplier defaults to 0.10. It is not nested inside mania_settings with the current supervisor. It takes effect on the next compatible room rollout/restart, not as a claimed immediate hot reload.
{"mania_ln_pick_multiplier": 0.10}
Use a finite numeric value greater than zero and at most 1; 1 restores the earlier weighting. Booleans, strings, zero and nonfinite values are rejected. This is not a player command.
