Using commands

Type the command in lobby chat, including its leading dot: .queue, .style jack, or .pp HD HR 99.2. Command names are case insensitive. Arguments depend on the command; do not assume every command accepts percentages or a username.

Start with .help, or use .help skip for one command. .help2 remains available when you explicitly want the expanded list. The in-lobby response reflects that room's mode and your permissions. The wiki command index groups commands by purpose and gives exact examples.

A command did not reply

Check the spelling, lobby mode, and whether you are a player. Rapid repeated commands can be silently throttled. Staff can temporarily disable public commands during busy periods; privacy controls and language choice/reset remain available. Wait before retrying. See command troubleshooting.

Shared room controls

Skip, replay, and difficulty commands are votes rather than personal settings. Map-source selections, Mania styles and Standard .dt / .nm affect the shared room. Coordinate with other players rather than repeatedly sending the same command.

Personal language and running-map time

.lang es (or zh/ko/ru) selects supported bilingual personal guidance; .lang en or .lang off restores English-only. It does not translate player chat or change other players' preferences. Commands keep their English spelling regardless of language. .time gives approximate remaining time for the map actually running, not an early promoted next item. See language usage and remaining time.

The wiki finder includes reviewed newer worker commands alongside the generated inventory. Minimum-version labels matter during independent updates; check your room title.

A quieter help summary

A shorter .help reply is prepared in development: common controls plus the full web command reference. .commands uses the same summary; focused help and .help2 remain. It is not yet deployed and is separate from the frozen queued controller upgrade, so running rooms may still show the previous longer text. See help availability and exact example.
