Live room settings

.settings reports the current mode, source, range, map filters, and operational toggles. Most changes persist; the bot says when a save failed. Future-pick filters normally leave already queued maps unchanged. If a filter would leave no eligible maps, the bot keeps the previous setting.

Command Accepted input Result
.range 4.5 5.5 Two star-rating bounds Sets a manual range and disables AutoDiff; room title follows the range.
.auto No argument Re-enables AutoDiff in Standard; Mania is fixed difficulty and rejects it.
.maxlength 240 / .length 240 Standard/Mania 30–600 seconds; Loved accepts 0 or off for unlimited Sets the hard played-time cap where the duration policy is enabled; reloads future picks, preserving the visible queue.
.maxage 3 / .maxage off 0.1–100 years or off Applies map-age filtering to future picks.
.countdown 15 1–120 seconds Changes countdown duration.
.autostart 45 0–600 seconds Changes auto-start delay.
.minplayers 2 1–32 Changes minimum active players and may cancel a pending start.
.queueahead 2 0–8 future maps Sets visible playlist depth to this value plus the current map; may update after the match.
.difficultyvote 50% / .diffvote 50% 25–100% Changes the active-player vote threshold and clears an existing difficulty vote.
Toggle Effect
.usercommands on/off Enables or suppresses ordinary public commands; privacy .hidden/.show and personal .lang choice/reset remain available. Turning off clears skip and difficulty votes.
.silence on/off Silences or restores automatic bot chat.
.voteskip on/off Enables or disables skip voting; turning it off clears the current skip vote.
.ppannounce on/off Changes automatic next-map PP announcements.
.aichat on/off Enables or disables AI chat where configured.

Moderators can use these controls; admins inherit them. Admin-only .set <name> <value> exposes additional approved technical settings. Use .help2 and .settings for the live allowed names and current values; changes to mode/schema settings may require a restart. Style fallback and map selection explain why a selected source may broaden. Room flow covers immediate match controls.

Preferred duration and JSON settings

From v6.7.8, real_max_length is the hard playable-length cap, preferred_min_length / preferred_max_length define a soft band, and preferred_length_share controls the preferred-bucket draw. Defaults are 240, 90, 150 and 0.8 respectively. Both short and long out-of-band maps remain possible inside the hard filters. .maxlength updates the hard cap where enabled; it does not redefine the preferred band. Use the normal per-room JSON configuration workflow for the preferred values; these are not new public chat commands.

From v6.7.13, DT's preferred lower bound is the configured minimum divided by 1.5, rounded up, while the upper bound stays in played seconds: default DT 60–150 versus NoMod/Mania 90–150. DT's hard cap also uses played time. Lowering a cap below the preferred maximum is rejected rather than producing an invalid policy. See duration policy.

Sparse Standard pass-count tiers can relax independently for NoMod and DT without widening stars, hard cap or age. Mixed DT additionally uses optional JSON dt_auto_threshold (default 5.5) and dt_pick_share (default 0.25). A compatible worker and a valid verified catalog are required. The threshold is a strict active-window midpoint comparison, and the share is a per-draw chance when both variants are fresh, not a fixed round quota. Explicit .dt / .nm overrides last until the empty-session reset. Safety disabling may replace unplayed DT entries; running matches finish.
